This line of research intends to study and understand dark matter and dark energy from quantum gravity and modified general relativity theory perspectives. In addition, it also intends to focus on the physics of compact stars, providing models for their composition, as well as hypothesis of signatures of the quark matter in astrophysical scenarios to possibly test in terrestrial laboratories.
